The name comes from Schmolke and Borthwick's business cards reading "SCHMOLKE AND MR. BORTHWICK: Monster Crime Investigators at large and small, respectively" (The joke being that A) Borthwick goes by his last name for some reason, and B) It says "large and small, respectively" but it should say "small and large, respectively," since Schmolke is the smaller of the two. Also, it was a huge card so that all of the type would fit.
ANYWAY, the purpose of this here blog is to serve as an exercise whereby I try to produce a new piece of content every week, and a new animation (at least ten seconds) every month. I encourage everyone to come back at least once a month just to check out my progress and to keep on top of me about being productive.
As the first preview from Large and Small Production's flagship work, Schmolke and Borthwick, here is a shot of Mr. Borthwick done in the current art style:

Mr. Borthwick is one of the two titular characters in the show, his counterpart being Schmolke. Of the two, Mr. Borthwick is the more mature, less impulsive, with large, beefy legs and (not seen here) a monocle.
The current style of art is referred to as "Cavemonster Style," named after B. Shur's art style in his short- lived comic, Cave Monster.
